My name is Gregory Red, although many people know me as Professor Gee. I am the founder of See Your Dollar and See Your Dollar Academy, a Louisiana-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on financial literacy, character development, and community empowerment.

  My commitment to this work is deeply connected to my personal journey.

  I was born and raised in New Orleans and grew up in an environment where negative influences, limited information, and poor decisions could easily redirect the course of a young person’s life. Before the age of 21, I had already experienced serious consequences from my decisions, including two felony convictions that were later expunged.

  There was a time when my choices could have permanently determined my future.

  However, I do not believe that was where my story was supposed to end.

  I truly believe God saved me, gave me a second chance at life, and allowed me the opportunity to develop a new understanding of who I was capable of becoming. That second chance did not immediately provide every answer, but it gave me the time and freedom to grow, learn, work, and begin rebuilding my life.

  At 23 years old, I entered the trucking industry and eventually built a trucking business. From there, my journey expanded into real estate, residential construction, accounting studies, stocks, cryptocurrency, investing, business, and personal development.

  Every stage taught me something different about money, ownership, discipline, decision-making, character, and the importance of continuing to learn.

  As my understanding increased, something became increasingly clear: many people are taught how to work and earn an income without ever being taught how to understand, manage, save, invest, protect, and grow what they earn.

  I also realized that people from communities like the one I came from are too often forced to learn important financial and life lessons through consequences rather than preparation.

  See Your Dollar was created to help change that.

  Everything we have developed—the Financial Literacy From Scratch course, SeeYourDollar.com, the workbook, our books, workshops, and community programs—was created to make practical financial knowledge and character-building principles more understandable and accessible.

  My purpose is to bring the information back to our communities, reach young people before they are attracted to destructive paths, support those who are already pursuing success the right way, and help people become better prepared to manage the opportunities and income they may receive.

  I do not share my past to glorify it, nor do I attempt to hide it. I share it as evidence of what faith, grace, discipline, education, accountability, and a genuine second chance can produce.

  I believe God allowed me to survive my past, gain knowledge through my journey, and return with something that could help the next person.

  That is the heart behind Professor Gee.

  That is the purpose behind See Your Dollar.

  And that is why this work is personal.
